In the age of instagram, twitter, and facebook, it’s never been easier for people to connect, yet also disconnect. Younger people are flooding more towards dating apps now more than they ever have. While dating apps used to be a stigma for the unwanted of the dating pools, now it has turned into hip hot spots for the youth. Here’s our favorite apps.
This is the app for the die hard hipster. The app is trendy, cool, and a fun way to flip through who is in your city. The best thing about this app is reading the fun bios people write, making it easier to see who you’d find could make a fun dinner date.
While this app is driven more towards dating and less towards hook ups, the app makes it fun and easy to learn more about someone than just a picture. The more questions you answer about yourself, the app will show you the person you’re interested who answered the same questions you did, making it easier to break the ice.
The app that started the young online dating movement. Though tinder is one of the very obvious hook up only kind of sites (the one that started the swipes to weed out the gross from the gorgeous) it is still fun because it is the most popular app, helping you catch more fish in the sea. Be careful though, now everyone and their mom is on this app, so running into an old flame might be inevitable.
Hinge is the perfect combination of Bumble and Ok Cupid. Hinge is also a meeting ground for the artsy Bumble coffee shop barista you’ve probably been crushing on, mixed with the questionnaires of Ok Cupid. Though it’s a newer app, it’s fun to see how they are re-inventing the dating app game. It’s definitely worth a shot.
